Our dedicated staff assists in Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Patient Recruitment and Clinical Trial Coordination. All of our Research Coordinators are Nurses certified by ACRP.
Adly Thebaud, M.D.
Principal Investigator, President, Medical Director of Medical Research Group of Central Florida.
Areas of expertise: Psychiatry/Neurology.
Adly Thebaud, M.D., CPI is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and has practiced in Central Florida since 1991. After completing his Residency in Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry at Michigan State University, he worked as an academic faculty and staff physician at Wayne State University, Detroit Receiving Hospital. In 1991, Dr. Thebaud moved to Florida where he launched his private practice, which includes children from age 4 to adults in their ninth decade of life. Patients are treated for a variety of conditions including ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Dementia, Depression, Eating disorder, Panic Disorder, PTSD, Schizophrenia and others. Dr. Thebaud yearly participates in short-term medical missions trips in developing countries, to teach doctors, nurses and other medical staff on subjects such as Neonatal Resuscitation in which he is certified. Dr. Thebaud is also an Assistant Clinical Professor for the medical students and physician assistants of Florida State University. Because of his love of people, his interest in learning, and his ability to relate to patients, Dr. Thebaud is a real asset to Family Psychiatric Services and Medical Research Group of Central Florida and has conducted more than 50 clinical trials.
Josette Romain, MD
Josette Romain, MD is a Board Certified Family Physician. She completed her residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in 1991. In addition to her experience in internal medicine, Dr. Romain spent two years residency training in Psychiatry at Fairlawn Center, in Pontiac, Michigan. Along with her work at Medical Research Group of Central Florida, Dr. Romain is a Staff Physician at Walt Disney World Center, the Medical Director of MinuteClinic/CVS Pharmacy, and Staff Physician for Florida Hospital Central Care. She has participated in multiple medical mission trips in various developing countries, including Haiti, Honduras, Congo, and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Romain takes the role as Investigator in internal medicine trials, and as Sub-Investigator in psychiatric trials. She works in collaboration with the clinical research team to ensure the utmost level of service and professionalism to the participants in clinical trials.
Shirley Cowell, LPN, CCRC (11 years of research experience) is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, with experience in Oncology, Urology, Women’s Health, Gastrointestinal, Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Rheumatology, Pain and CNS Phase I-IV trials.
Marianne Pierson, BA, MHR, MA Counseling, CRC (2 year of research experience) is a Clinical Research Coordinator who also has a breadth of experience in marriage and family counseling. She is an experienced rater for Phase I-IV CNS trials, and also has participated in studies in Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorder, and Hypertension.
Linda Antonelli, LPN, CCRC (15 years of research experience) is a Certified Research Coordinator, with extensive experience in General Medicine Studies, Neurology, Cardiovascular, Pain, Rheumatology and CNS phase II-IV trials.
Beverly Brooks, Regulatory Specialist (2 years of research experience), oversees all regulatory documentation from feasibility questionnaires to trial completions. She also assists in business development activities.
In addition to the above full-time employees, MRGCF has a support staff of physicians, therapists, back up raters, phlebotomists, record keepers and clerical employees.
